The Owner’s vision was to take this former assisted living facility, which was a place of comfort and care for seniors, and thoughtfully reimagine it into a modern residential treatment facility in Ridgefield, WA. We needed to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals on their journey towards wellness. With its homelike atmosphere and purpose-driven remodel, the space now fosters healing, personal growth, and long-term recovery in a setting that feels like home. It was important that the exterior respond to its residential setting with attractive fencing and landscape buffers that would minimize impact during construction and operations. The original building in Ridgefield, Washington, was a wood-frame, two-level care facility constructed in 1986 and expanded shortly thereafter to a total of 31,534 sq.ft. The building consists of central offices, dining, a kitchen, unit dwellings, and six cottage buildings.
The scope of work across three phases included: Demolition, interior alterations, and new entrance, replacement of finishes, fixtures and equipment, mechanical and electrical upgrades, building shell maintenance, on-site parking, screening, and landscaping.
